The Plank in Our Eye

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” Mathew 7:3

Why do we allow a vote to cut funds for food stamps while many parent(s) on lower incomes cannot find enough work to support their children?

Our minimum wage is too low, and there are so few full-time jobs for unskilled workers that many workers with low pay cannot find a place to live, even when they work 2 or 3 jobs. Why do we have so little affordable housing for low-waged families?

An average of eight children and teens under the age of 20 are killed by guns every day.

48.9 million Americans lived in households struggling against hunger in 2012. Of them, 15.8 million are children (21.6 percent of all children).
